Women's Institute in Saxmundham

Thank you to the Saxmundham branch of the National Federation of Women's Institutes for inviting Peter and me to talk to their members. It was a great turn out and the talk - as ever - was well received. Peter continues to challenge myths and stereotypes around the subject and manages to inject a note of comedy to the proceedings. This unexpected humour occasionally takes a while to be received and processed but today's audience were tuned in from the start and offered suitably appreciative chuckles and smiles.

A big thanks also to Susie from Woodbridge Bookshop for coming to the talk. Susie stocks "Slow Puncture" in her independent bookshop and is really supportive to all local authors. Another familiar face was Sue Thompson, local author and chum. The second photo kind of embodies that great community spirit and support that local writers and independent bookshops can create.

Finally, thank you to Martin - today was the debut for my card reader for taking payments for book purchases. His tutelage and patience worked!
