TACKLING STIGMA DURING WORLD ALZHEIMER'S MONTH

Deb Bunt

Thanks to Dementia UK for using Peter's story as part of their campaign to look at stigma and stereotypes surrounding those living with dementia. This is a particularly key area to focus on, especially in World Alzheimer's Month.

I think we all agree that Peter, along with hundreds of others, are all contributing to myth busting and challenging people's stereotypical views of dementia although I do wonder if Peter is the only one who rides a Penny Farthing!

A special thanks to Kate who has added links to the page which takes readers to Peter's website and to the book. Read the story on Dementia UK's website via the link below.

Peter is pleased to be a patron of For Brian CIC -  an evolving concept, co-produced by its directors in collaboration with its beneficiaries living with dementia. The company aims to empower people living with dementia and their families to design support that meets their individual needs, providing agency in challenging circumstances. Cycling plays a huge part in their existence.
