Patching the Puncture: The Book Launch!

Peter and I had a truly fantastic book launch in Ipswich. Unfortunately, in the general furore of the moment, I didn't take as many photos as I would have liked but a few others did and I have managed to capture some of those which might give a flavour of the day.
We were delighted to welcome Anthony Douglas, Independent Chair of Suffolk Adult Safeguarding Board and Christopher Cheshire FCIOB MAPM, Chairperson of Safe and Found Online (SAFO). These two speakers demonstrated that today was not just about a book but about the joined up work we are doing in Suffolk to keep the dementia agenda alive and kicking.
They were followed by the MP for Suffolk Coastal, Jennifer Riddell-Carpenter whose speech was both emotional and moving.
Actress and voice over artist, Rosanna Miles, then read some excerpts from "Patching the Puncture" and I managed to link these up with some highly amusing anecdotes (yes, self-deprecation is also alive and kicking in Suffolk).
A huge thank you to the Novotel Ipswich for their assiduous attention to the room layout and catering and an especial thank you to Adnams for their kind donation of the alcohol free beer.
From friends, family, writers, bookshops, dementia organisations, Suffolk Council and media colleagues (both past and present): I want to thank you all for coming, for your show of enthusiasm and your book purchases - not only of "Patching the Puncture" but of its prequel, "Slow Puncture".
