Thank you to Suffolk Association of Independent Care Providers (SAICP) for organising our talk today at their Needham Market offices. Despite the freezing temperature, we had virtually a full house who were graced, not only by one of Peter's inspirational talks, but with the rare sight of seeing him in jeans as opposed to shorts. It really was that cold!
It is during these events where connections are made and today's exciting connection was in the shape of Gail, the Contract and Service Development Manager at Suffolk County Council. One of Gail's tasks is to write a dementia strategy for Suffolk and Waveney and she is keen for those living with dementia to input into the strategy - hence the invite onto the strategy group. We were also invited (and talk about forward planning!) to be the main speakers at the Suffolk Dementia Conference 2023 during Dementia Action Week. Finally, Gail was keen to contact the HSH England Regionally to make sure that they are aware of the (and I quote here) "incredible work you are doing."
A pretty good morning - and we sold 23 books!
