Our friendship with Nikki, co-founder of Mirador Magazine - A Dementia-Friendly Publication, goes back to December 2022 when Nikki contacted me to see if I would write a short article about Peter for the magazine. Since then, Nikki has been a great support to and promoter of Peter's activities and she has even come to Suffolk, specifically to meet us all (indeed, Nikki braved Peter's 100 miles on a penny farthing ride last year when she cycled with us around Suffolk, proving great resilience and obduracy!).
This edition of Mirador, Train and Whistle, is rather special as the front cover has a photo Peter's train layout and he is also the subject of the 'spot the difference' feature inside the magazine.
I know there is not actually a station in Friston - for anyone who knows this part of Suffolk that's a very comical notion! - but how amazing that the small village of Friston and its imaginary train station has made it all the way to the USA!
If anyone is interested in subscribing to the magazine, please contact Nathan at Softwood Books and he or Maddy will be happy to help.
