LIVE on Facebook with Dementia Carers Count

A quick thank you to those at Dementia Carers Count for inviting Peter and me to chat live as part of their 'lunch and listen' initiative via Facebook. And an especial thanks to Rob and Melanie for their technical and interviewing skills and for their behind-the-scenes hard work to enable the session to go ahead.

The title of today's chat was "Peter is still Peter" and we explored his diagnosis, the obstacles facing people in his age group upon diagnosis, friendship and positivity. Well, to save me telling you all this, click on the link to access the video.

I even managed to slip the word 'Arsenal' in a couple of times, no mean feat when the talk is around dementia. In hindsight, after Arsenal's woeful performance in Europe tonight, I rather wish I hadn't mentioned them.

Peter is pleased to be a patron of For Brian CIC -  an evolving concept, co-produced by its directors in collaboration with its beneficiaries living with dementia. The company aims to empower people living with dementia and their families to design support that meets their individual needs, providing agency in challenging circumstances. Cycling plays a huge part in their existence.
