Dementia Road Show: Halesworth

Peter and I attended the Halesworth dementia road show this afternoon. We talked to many people connected within the community, including local councillors from the Green Party, as well as those with an interest in dementia.

There was a real buzz about the place as information was exchanged, tea was sipped, links were made and, yes, even books were purchased.

We might well have some more speaking gigs as a result of this event including - I hope - one with Ipswich GPs. Our mole within Suffolk County Council is working on this for us.

There truly is a lot going on in the Halesworth and surrounding areas: as Peter said, “there are lots of bits of material but they just need to be stitched together to make a bigger, better blanket.”

As ever, he’s right.

Peter is pleased to be a patron of For Brian CIC -  an evolving concept, co-produced by its directors in collaboration with its beneficiaries living with dementia. The company aims to empower people living with dementia and their families to design support that meets their individual needs, providing agency in challenging circumstances. Cycling plays a huge part in their existence.
