Back to school

Peter was invited to speak to the children at Snape Primary school about the penny farthing bike. This was part of their syllabus on the Edwardians/Victorians.

Two groups of children were fully engaged in Peter's explanations and watched how he mounted and dismounted the bike and then took turns to ding his bell. That sounded better in my head (in my mitigation, I wasn't there today - the photos were taken by Teresa, and I only have their word for it that it went well).

As Peter said, "it was nice to be Peter, talking about the penny farthing, rather than Peter talking about dementia"

Maybe this will be the start of a whole new project for Peter....

Peter is pleased to be a patron of For Brian CIC -  an evolving concept, co-produced by its directors in collaboration with its beneficiaries living with dementia. The company aims to empower people living with dementia and their families to design support that meets their individual needs, providing agency in challenging circumstances. Cycling plays a huge part in their existence.
