LOWESTOFT AND LORI

Lowestoft: The Lowestoft Library talk, number two of the #GLT (Great Library Tour, keep up!) took place yesterday. Unfortunately, owing to a contretemps with my head and the bath (and although there is a picture of the resulting shiner, I am mindful that some of you might have a delicate disposition and so I won't post it), Peter and Teresa left me behind and took on Lowestoft without me.

It was the first official outing of the smart new banner and Peter looks rather professional standing in front of it.

Lori: Here's the link for Lori La Bey's feature. We are really pleased with it so huge thanks to Lori for editing it so expertly. Apart from one of the participants looking like a hyper active rabbit caught in the headlights (and, in that person's mitigation, that person thought that it was an audio recording, not a visual one), Lori captures the key areas of Peter's life: from the diagnosis to the depression, to finances, to his newfound determination to show that it's possible to live well with dementia, his cycling challenges and our friendship and, of course, to the book. It was great that Teresa's relatively new cycling exploits were mentioned!

It's been, and will continue to be, a busy September which is a fitting way to be during World Alzheimer's Month.

Peter is pleased to be a patron of For Brian CIC -  an evolving concept, co-produced by its directors in collaboration with its beneficiaries living with dementia. The company aims to empower people living with dementia and their families to design support that meets their individual needs, providing agency in challenging circumstances. Cycling plays a huge part in their existence.
